Gerald
"Jerry" Dahlinger died March 4, 2003 in Wichita, Kansas. He
had a 20-year history of heart problems. He survived cancer as well.
You can go to the Mem web site

We have
been on the receiving end of much hard work. We want to talk to any
and all people researching family names.
We have traced our family back in time from the USA to the Volga region
(Saratov) in Russia. The current challenge is finding the Dahlinger
families that originally left Germany to go to Russia.
The Socolofsky family also spent time in the Volga area and a book prepared
by Homer E. Socolofsky titled the Socolofsky Family, a History
(Spring 1973) offers much family data as well as an enormous amount
of general life-and-times information. The Rev. Dahlinger baptized
the Socolofsky family while in Russia.
Kathryn Taylor O'Malley has prepared a book of geneological information
that is as complete as I might have ever hoped.
Dick Kraus has also found the Dahlinger family going back to
the 1700's and has a family history chart for sale at his
web site.
Of course,
anyone who is interested in family history should go to the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints web site. They have the
world's most complete archive (with new info added daily) of geneological
information. You can search for specific individuals or by family name.
It's a great way to instantly add valuable names and dates to your family
history work.

Gerald
"Jerry" Dahlinger on the "whizzer"
Pizza
Hut menu from the mid 1960's. Notice the prices! Jerry was a Pizza Hut
franchisee in south Florida. Two sizes only 10-inch and 13-inch, thin
crust only. You could go nuts and order a 13-inch Pizza Supreme for
a wallet-busting $2.70. The "Pizza Pete" character was abandoned
soon after it appeared. Construction firms in Florida had a hard time
bidding restaurants when it had "that funny looking roof."
When they found that the roof was designed to withstand high winds,
it was easier to take.
